The bulb is designed for original xenon headlights that require D1R type bulbs (xenon headlights without a lens).

Does not require any modifications to the vehicle's electrical system. Has a precisely defined focus point and voltage connection, typical of a D1R type bulb. Can only be used in conjunction with a D1R xenon ballast (converter) system. These bulbs have a built-in ignitor.
