The bulb is designed for original xenon headlights that require D3S type bulbs (xenon headlights with lens).

Does not require any modifications to the vehicle's electrical system. Has a precisely defined focus point and voltage connector, typical of a D3S type bulb. Can only be used in conjunction with a D3S xenon ballast (converter) system. These bulbs have a built-in ignitor.
